In the village there are shops (discount market, drugstore, butcher and baker) as well as 2 pizzerias, 2 restaurants, snack bars and pubs within a radius of approx. 1 km. A doctor's office, dentist and pharmacy are also in the immediate vicinity.
It is approx. 5 minutes to the A4 motorway, Alsdorf exit, and approx. 15 minutes to the A4, Eschweiler-West exit via the L240. The cities of Cologne and Düsseldorf can be reached in about an hour, it takes about 20 minutes to drive to Aachen and about 45 minutes by bus.
The cities of Baesweiler, Eschweiler, Weisweiler, Stolberg, Herzogenrath, Würselen, Übach-Palenberg and Jülich are also easily accessible by car.
